Carpet Bowls
Carpet Bowls (or Short Mat Bowls) is a smaller version of lawn bowls, played indoors all of the year round, with smaller bowls on special mats – having the advantage of not being affected by the weather!
We meet in Woodborough Village Hall every Friday evening at 6.50pm (ready to start at 7.00pm), joining the members of Woodborough Carpet Bowls Club who have kindly agreed to share their meeting and equipment.
We don’t take it too seriously, enjoying the social aspects of meeting friends just as much as playing the game.
If you’re interested, but concerned about being a beginner, don’t worry – we’ll show you how it’s done, and all the members will be happy to help you.
