Photography for Fun
Long gone are the days when you needed a darkroom and enlarger for photography. Nowadays everything is digital and all you need is a camera (or a smartphone) and possibly a computer for editing.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month 2.00-3.30, in Calverton Village Hall, where there is ample parking.
Beginners are welcome. The membership of this group has a wide range of photographic and technical knowledge and ability. The emphasis is on having a friendly informal group structure, that enables members to support each other, whilst at the same time increasing their skills with the camera and in post processing.
Meetings include talks on photographic techniques, how to better understand the camera/smartphone/tablet and the use of editing software. The monthly programme also incorporates a practical session, with field trips arranged as appropriate. Each month there is a theme for members to take photographs and if they wish, show them to the group at the next meeting.
There is a small charge for group meetings to cover venue costs and provide refreshments.
As restrictions are lifted this group will move from an online/email approach to meetings, initially outdoors, but later at indoor venues.
