Social History
Social History is defined as the history of ordinary people, not Kings, Queen and Generals, and how events affect everyday lives. It will be purely member led and give an opportunity for all to explore their particular interests, within an overall theme and to engage in lively conversation. As well as the monthly meetings, outside visits will be arranged including, guided walks, museum visits and other places of interest. Those can be on any day of the week.
The current area of study is 1851 to 1914 , for “indoor” meetings in 2024.
This group meets monthly on the second Tuesday, commencing at 7pm – meeting at The Gleaners, Main Street Calverton.
