The Song and the Story
A fascinating and fun-packed mixture of song, verse and people’s stories. This is a very different take on social history through the voices of song writers, poets and also the voices of ordinary (and often extraordinary) people. Although this is NOT a singing group you may find yourself moved to join in from time to time!
The group meeting times and venues vary depending on the time of the year – but we usually meet in Lowdham at the rooms behind the BookCase bookshop (lifts are easily arranged for anyone without transport), and on the final Thursday of each month. Through songs, stories, personal anecdotes and poems we learn and laugh in equal measure. If you are interested in joining us please contact the convenor.
