Tai Chi

Tai chi is an ancient form of slow, graceful and rhythmic exercise which originated in China.  The movements of the tai chi form can gently tone and strengthen the organs and muscles, improve circulation, posture and balance and relax the body and mind.  People of all ages can benefit from tai chi. No special equipment or clothing is needed and, once it is learned, it is with you for the rest of your life – just a little regular practice is all that is needed.

Our Tai Chi sessions operate weekly at the Woodborough Institute, on Friday afternoons at 2 pm. The session will usually consist of a warm-up, some Tai Chi walking and practising the Yang Style Tai Chi form.
